About me
Hi, I’m Blány, a mother of three based in Bray, Co. Wicklow—where I see is the heart of a growing community for spiritual growth and holistic practices. From a young age, I was familiar with spirituality and alternative medicine, which embedded a lifelong curiosity about holistic therapies and self realisation.
After initially studying Body Therapy after school, I began working in insurance/ financial services and completing an undergrad in HR. I later found my way back to my holistic roots, seeking to blend modern living with ancient wisdom.
In my early 20s, I embraced power yoga for its physical benefits but soon became fascinated by its spiritual depth. Inspired by an early teacher’s philosophy that yoga is more than a practice on your mat - it’s a lifestyle - I traveled to India and Nepal in 2013, learning about the transformative teachings of self-care, mindfulness, and enlightenment as I travelled. At that stage teacher seeds hadn’t even been planted - or maybe they had been!
I later completed my first Yoga Teacher Training in 2016 (200 hours) and 2017 (100 hours) with Teresa Murphy Moore, followed by 300 hours of Vinyasa Krama training with Stephen Brandon from 2019 to 2023. I decided then to offer what I’d learned and continue to offer as I learn. I continue to develop my learning through Yoga/ Ayurveda courses, training and self study and integrative practices.
My approach and continued study is rooted in the authentic teachings of f Sri T. Krishnamacharya, offering personalised practices that nurture physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
My offering
I offer mum and baby postnatal yoga - holding space for new mums to maintain a practice during the early months of motherhood; Corporate Yoga - based on my long term experience in Financial Services and understanding of the need for such practices during the working day; And Kids yoga - creating fun and engaging sessions to help children create these habits from a young age promoting security, confidence, coping tools, physical health and more.
Ayurveda
My studies with Stephen Brandon were intertwined with Ayurveda which led me on a journey of offering the wisdom of Ayurveda as I am learning it. My first therapeutic offering from Ayurveda is the Mukha Abhyanga and Face Marma Therapy learned from Dr Deepa Apte. Delivering these treatments is a meditation in itself and comes from a place of deep intention. Come for the aesthetics and discover a gateway to soul transformation.
So you’ll see my current offerings piece together my stage of life and if these resonate with you I’d love to meet you.
Through my teaching, I aim to open others towards practices that offer a life of health, love, and joy. In today’s fast-paced world, Yoga and Ayurveda offer a path to mindfulness and connection. Bray, with its growing community of spiritual seekers, is the perfect place to deepen these practices. I can’t wait to share this transformative journey with you.
